NIDS provides flexible, diverse education experiences created and taught by experienced deterrence practitioners and passionate experts. Our goals are straightforward: 1) raise awareness of the effectiveness of deterrence among the general public, 2) cultivate the next generation of deterrence professionals dedicated to ensuring global peace and security for America and its allies, and 3) empower influential thinkers and advocates of deterrence. Through the NIDS Academy, we offer unique, adaptable education opportunities designed to accommodate the constraints of today’s workforce. The NIDS Academy utilizes various educational methods such as videos, video lectures, podcasts, published articles, and in-person discussions to deliver high-quality deterrence education that caters to a wide range of strategic and operational deterrence needs.

To meet the education needs for national deterrence, the National Institute for Deterrence Studies’ “NIDS Academy” can utilize various tools and formats to provide high-quality nuclear deterrence professional education to any national security workforce, future workforce, or interested citizen. The NIDS Academy program is designed to accommodate the busy schedules of senior leaders and the young field workforce who do not have the luxury of spending their workdays in front of a computer or in a classroom. The program is dynamic, relevant, current, and cost-effective, and is designed and taught by competent experts, former practitioners, and accountable representatives. These individuals are passionate about their mission to educate and inspire a national security and nuclear deterrence workforce, whose mission is to ensure the worldwide peace, security, and stability of the US and its allies.
